The Boston-based Freisinger Chamber Orchestra began in June, 2008, and has presented 20 concerts and 20 full-scale orchestral readings.  The non-profit orchestra performs everything from the standard repertoire to world premieres.

On November 17th, the orchestra will read Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8

Thanks to all who have participated in concerts of the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, and welcome to our new audience members! After the concert, the orchestra will host readings of Mahler Symphony No. 5 and Bruckner Symphony No. 8.

The Boston-based Freisinger Chamber Orchestra began in June 2008, and has presented 20 concerts and 20 full-scale orchestral readings. Strings (15) and winds (10-12) are mostly graduate students and alumni from Boston University, New England Conservatory, the Longy School of Music, and The Boston Conservatory. Concerts also feature young singers in repertoire from opera to Broadway, accompanied by the conductor at the piano. Living composers discuss their pieces after premieres.
